CoolMeds Global 2-8°C Medication Case VAT Relief

Product Code: MGX077NV

Only 3 left in stock

The CoolMeds Global Isothermal Case is your reliable solution for safely transporting temperature-sensitive 2-8°C medication for 30 to 36 hours*. Travel with confidence, knowing that your medication is securely chilled throughout the journey.

Maintaining the temperature between 2-8°C is crucial, as exceeding 8°C or dropping below 2°C poses the risk of freezing, emphasising the need for a reliable solution during travel. The Global is designed to address various requirements:

  • To accommodate bulkier pens and bottles that don't fit into conventional 2-8°C cases.
  • To hold larger quantities of medication.
  • To provide an extended period of 2-8°C protection - up to 36 hours.

The Global is constructed from high-quality materials with multiple layers of insulation for maximum protection. The insulation and cool cage work together to absorb initial excess cold and evenly distribute it to the medication, creating a stable 2-8°C environment.

The case has successfully passed 2-8°C validation, with test data revealing that the two outermost sections of the cool cage provide up to 30 hours at 2-8°C, while the inner sections extend the protection to 36 hours. To utilize the extended duration, users can slide removable dividers into the cool cage to block off the two outer sections.

For transporting 60ml bottles, it is recommended to position the bottle lids towards the two outer sections, ensuring the liquid medication is in the coldest areas. The information leaflet included with the case provides detailed instructions.

In addition to the cool cage, the Global includes a fluted cool cage, ideal for transporting medication boxes without exposing them to light. The fluted cool cage accommodates boxes measuring up to 20.4 (L) x 5.3 (W) x 16 (H) cm.

It is essential not to place medication directly into the case without using either the cool cage or the fluted cool cage, as this would result in direct contact with frozen cold packs, leading to partial freezing of the medication.

Two specially ribbed CoolMeds cold packs are provided, flanking the cool cage to prevent overcooling. These cold packs create a narrow space between them and the cool cage, serving as a buffer zone that diffuses the cold and protects the medication. These cold packs can be purchased separately as spares, and replacement every 24 months is recommended due to gel denaturation over time. You can purchase extra cold packs here

It is highly recommended you do at least one trial run before your journey to make sure you are familiar with using the case especially because conditioning the cold packs is the most important step.

*This is affected by factors such as the ambient temperature; ambient humidity; how many times the case is opened, how long the case is left open, and so on. DISCLAIMER: The user of the bag solely accepts the responsibility of maintaining his/her medicine at the required temperature.
