The CoolMeds Companion isothermal case has undergone extensive testing and validation to ensure the secure transportation of temperature-sensitive 2-8°C medication for a duration of 18 to 24 hours*.
Maintaining a temperature range between 2-8°C is crucial for the efficacy of the medication, as exceeding 8°C or dropping below 2°C may pose the risk of freezing. Traveling already involves various considerations, and the CoolMeds Companion alleviates the concern of whether your 2-8°C medication will remain appropriately chilled during the journey.
Designed to address the increasing demand for a 2-8°C case capable of accommodating bulkier pens and bottles, the Companion case is similar to the CoolMeds GO case but features a wider cool cage. This expanded capacity accommodates more pens, bottles, vials, and syringes that may not fit into conventional isothermal cases. The cool cage, in conjunction with the thermal sleeve, ensures even distribution of cold around the contents, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram.
The Companion is equipped with an integrated digital thermometer, providing peace of mind by enabling temperature monitoring without the need to open the case. The internal thermometer is powered by 2 x AG13 batteries, included with the case.
Crafted from high-quality materials with multiple layers of insulation, the Companion offers maximum protection. The thermal sleeve absorbs initial excess cold, ensuring even distribution to the contents of the cool cage and protecting the medication from freezing or overcooling.
Supplied with 2 specially shaped CoolMeds cold packs, these packs encircle the cool cage, providing prolonged cooling effectiveness and durability during frequent use. Additionally, these cold packs can be purchased separately as spares and should be replaced every 24 months due to gel denaturation over time. You can purchase extra cool packs here.
It is highly recommended you do at least one trial run before your journey to make sure you are familiar with using the case especially because conditioning the cold packs is the most important step.
*This is affected by factors such as the ambient temperature; ambient humidity; how many times the case is opened, how long the case is left open, and so on. DISCLAIMER: The user of the bag solely accepts the responsibility of maintaining his/her medicine at the required temperature.
