Our Insulin ID card is an essential tool for situations where you feel your safety may be at risk. The card ensures that your medical status as insulin-dependent is known to whoever comes to your aid.
On the front of the card, there is a space to affix an up to date photo and add a name for quick and easy identification of the cardholder. There are also some useful tips for whoever picks up the card in terms of how to treat someone in situations of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) or hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar).
The reverse side of the card ensures that the languages most widely spoken in the UK are made aware that you have diabetes and it is treated with insulin. You can find translations in French, Spanish, German, Polish, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi and Urdu.
